Carole E. (Keddy) Dwelly

OAKHAM – Carole E. (Keddy) Dwelly, 80, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, after a long struggle with lung cancer. She was born in Ware, the daughter of John J. and Sylvia M. (Sibley) Keddy and had lived most of her life in Oakham.

She leaves her sons, Gregory Dwelly and his wife, Cindy of New Braintree and Wesley Dwelly, Jr. his wife, Wipha of Arizona; her daughter, Robin Oliver and her husband, Richard of Oakham; her sister, June Locke of Hubbardston; six grandchildren, Jessica, Valerie, Lindsay, Kayte, Megan and Jeremy; her great-grandson, Hunter; and nieces and nephews.

Carole attended Barre High School and while raising her children she acquired her GED. She worked for more than 20 years at Worcester State College before retiring. Carole loved spending time with her family and was a devoted daughter who cared lovingly for her parents in their later years. She enjoyed gardening, painting, and collecting teddy bears and adored her cats, Abbey, Tigger, and Shadow.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Carole’s family on Thursday, August 5th from 12 to 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice, 36 Williams Street, Leominster, MA 01453.
