Carole Ann (Cooper) Vosburg

November 4, 1941 — June 6, 2016

CLINTON - Carole Ann (Cooper) Vosburg, 74, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 6, 2016 in the loving care of her devoted husband and family. She was born in Worcester, one of 14 children born to Malcolm and Agnes (Erickson) Cooper. Carole was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School. While still attending high school a chance meeting with a young man from Shrewsbury has led to more than 54 years of marriage to him, Howard A. Vosburg, Sr. Howard joined the Marines and Carole joined him over the next several years in his assignments. They returned to Clinton and reestablishing their roots began their own little family life. Soon, three children followed and Carole was kept busy raising the kids and maintaining her family home. She also found time to work, including time at the former Ray O Vac company until they relocated the local plant, James Monroe Wire and Cable, where she was lucky enough to work with Howard everyday and then finally at Nypro, where she retired from several years ago. Along the way, Carole made sure there was time to enjoy family camping trips to the White Mountains, as well as using her artistic talents while crocheting and creating beautiful ceramic pieces. Carole and Howard enjoyed cruising the Caribbean and visiting Disney World with the family. She will be forever missed by her beloved husband of 54 years, Howard; her three children, Howard A. Vosburg, Jr. and his wife, Melinda of Clinton, Brian K. Vosburg and his wife, Judith of Douglas and Wendy Ann Elder and her husband, Dwight of Cumming, GA; her eight grandchildren, Howard Vosburg, III and his wife, Cindy, Joseph Vosburg and his fiancee, Katie Dutch, Amanda Paquette and her husband, Peter, Nicholas Vosburg and his wife, Samantha, Adam, Andrew and Evan Elder and Aurore Ndayshimiye; her two great grandchildren, Jacob Henri Paquette and Isabella Rose Vosburg as well as the two great grandchildren whose arrival she was lovingly anticipating; her seven siblings, Donald, Douglas and Paul Cooper, Maureen O’Connor, Charlene Posson, Linda Kerber-Bothur and Judith Cooper; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her six siblings, Gerald, David, Robert and Joyce Cooper, Sandra Cooper Gleason and Warren Clarkson.
