Carole M. (Trefethen) Clark

August 14, 1936 — February 20, 2021

LEOMINSTER/PRINCETON – Carole M. (Trefethen) Clark, age 84, most beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Born and raised in Haverhill.

Carole met the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Clark in Haverhill. They married and started their family in Fullerton, CA, eventually moving back to their roots in Haverhill and finally settled in Sudbury. She worked for 10 years as an Assistant Town Clerk in Sudbury before working over 20 years as an Administrative Assistant at Digital, Compaq and HP.

Carole will be vividly remembered for being a gifted and talented singer with Gilbert & Sullivan operas. She was an active member and Church Choir Director at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Sudbury, and later at Prince of Peace Parish in Princeton. Carole’s daughters will cherish the memories of her beautiful singing at their weddings. Her amazing trivia knowledge impressed everyone. Jeopardy was her fun daily activity. Carole loved to travel and with her sister Zoe by her side, the two traveled frequently, with many memorable trips.

Family was so very important to her. She was never one to miss a recital, game, birthday or any family event. Her family also included animals, where every stray that visited her was welcomed.

She will be lovingly missed by her four daughters, Lisa Karin Clark and her husband, Carl of Princeton, Erin Cialdea and her husband, David of Upton, Dawn Mattair and her husband, Dana of Mendon, and Beth Lind and her husband, Rick of Whitinsville; a brother, Paul Trefethen and his wife, Sandy of Running Springs, CA; a sister, Zoe Trefethen of Placentia, CA; 10 grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Samantha, Kayla, Emily, Ethan, Kira, Victoria, Sophia, Jenny and Marissa, and her “fur-ever” friend Tuffy. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard “Dick” C. Clark.

Carole’s legacy will live on with her many famous holiday recipes that have been passed to her children and grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project via their website, https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/Default.aspx?tsid=10043 or to any local animal shelter. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center.
