Carol A. Richards

JEFFERSON - Carol A. Richards, age 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Sophie (Michalak) Wojtas.

Carol graduated from Oxford High School with the class of 1965. She went on to attend Quinsigamond Community College as well as Worcester State University. She worked as a receptionist at American Supply and Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, before finishing her career at Greenberg, Rosenblatt, Kull & Bitsoli Accounting Firm as a bookkeeper.

At 41, she married the love of her life, John Richards and the two resided in Jefferson where they enjoyed a simple life with her beloved dogs. She enjoyed reading, antique car shows, going out to dinner, and tending to her indoor plants throughout her home.

Carol is survived by her 2 dogs, Mia and Max; brother-in-law's, Gary Richards and his wife Pam, Glenn Richards and his wife, Judy Hanlon, Jeffrey Richards; sister in law Marilyn Richards; nieces and nephews, Brandon Richards, Brett Richards, Melissa Richards, Lindsay Richards, Adam Richards, Amy Krysiak and her brother, Mark Hook and his wife, Lisa. She is predeceased by her husband, John Richards, who passed in 2022.

The family would like to thank the care and compassion from the staff at Rose Monahan Hospice in Worcester.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Carol's family from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 3rd, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 4th, at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
