Carol A. (Ramsey) Lyons

BROOKFIELD/PRINCETON - Carol A. (Ramsey) Lyons of South Maple St., Brookfield and formerly of Princeton, died at home in the presence of her loving family on Thursday, January 23, 2014. She was 67.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and is survived by her husband of 31 years, Thomas J. Lyons; a son, David Ramsey and his wife, Anne of Gardner; a daughter, Debra Ward of Warren; four step-children, Thomas W. Lyons and his wife, Kelly of Princeton, Todd Lyons and his companion, Casandra of Leicester, Donna Raibley and her husband, Bob of Grass Valley, CA, and Tina Giacobbi and her husband, Rob of Worcester; a brother, James Ramsey and his wife, Kathy of Oxford; a sister, Diane Routhier and her husband, Don of Leicester; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two grandchildren.
Born in Worcester, Carol was the daughter of Clarence and Beverly (Miller) Ramsey and lived in Princeton for 16 years before moving to Brookfield in 2001. She enjoyed crafts, flower gardens, traveling around the country, and collecting antiques especially miniature houses. Most of all she loved her dog "Roxy".
Carol's family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Metro West Hospice and Saint Vincent Hospital Cancer Center for their care and compassion during her illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit Carol's family from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A private graveside service will be held at South Cemetery in Princeton. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, a charity near and dear to Carol.
