Carol A. (Lynch) Bacchiocchi

January 8, 1934 — August 31, 2014

West Boylston - Carol A. (Lynch) Bacchiocchi, 80, a longtime West Boylston resident, died peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2014, at Clinton Hospital after being stricken ill earlier that day.



Carol was born and raised in Lincoln, NH, a daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude (Gannon) Lynch. She graduated from Lincoln High School. Through an introduction by a friend, she met her future husband, Joseph P. Bacchiocchi, who was in the area working on the construction crew for the Kancamagus Highway. They were married on August 8, 1953. They relocated to West Boylston where she has lived for the past 60 years.



While raising her young family, Carol worked at the Howard Johnson’s in West Boylston, at the Mount Pleasant Country Club, Boylston, Zayre’s and Guaranty Bank, both in Worcester. Later she worked in multiple positions at Jamesbury Corporation in Worcester until her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in West Boylston and its Women’s Club and the Red Hat Society of West Boylston. Family and friends meant everything to Carol and spending time with them brought her the greatest of joy and happiness.



Carol leaves her children, Peter J. Bacchiocchi of Millbury, Jean A. Robidoux and her husband, Michael with whom she lived and Mary Bayrouty of Rutland; her sister, Catherine LaBrecque of Lincoln, NH; her five grandchildren, Sarah Galvin, Kristy Bacchiocchi, Anna Fitzgerald, Colin Bacchiocchi and Zachary Robidoux; her three great-grandchildren, Micah Bacchiocchi and Olivia and Liam Galvin; as well as several nieces and nephews and her many neighborhood grand kids.



Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Carol’s family on Friday, September 5, from 5-8 p.m., at the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, September 6, from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street, West Boylston. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston. Memorial donations may be made to the West Boylston Ambulance Fund, West Boylston Fire Department, 39 Worcester Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.
