HOLDEN – Carol A. (Johnston) Zottoli, 77, formerly of Main Street, died peacefully on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at the Coleman House, a senior care residence in Northborough after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Northbridge and raised in East Douglas, Carol was the daughter of Harry F. and Anna (O’Connell) Johnston and lived 55 years in Holden.
Carol graduated from Douglas High School and Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing in Worcester. After graduating nursing school, Carol worked as a Registered Nurse at Hahnemann Hospital. She later worked as a local home health caregiver. She enjoyed vacationing at Cape Cod, reading, cooking and studying the Bible.
Her husband, Joseph F. Zottoli died in 1991. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey J. Zottoli and his wife Dianne of Holden and her daughter, Susan Z. Wilde of Holden; 5 grandchildren, Dillon, Christa and Jake Wilde, Joe and Nick Zottoli. Besides her husband Joe, Carol is predeceased by her sister, Shirley Anderson of Holden.
The Zottoli family extends special thanks to the entire staff at the Coleman House for their loving care and compassion. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
