She graduated from North High School and Salter Secretarial School. Carol worked for many years at Quinsigamond Community College where she was the assistant to the President of the College. Carol retired from the college and set off to California where she married Richard. Together they set off on a 5 year sailing trip from the West Coast of the United States to the East Coast. After one of the most adventurous trips of a life time, they settled on dry land in New Hampshire. Carol and Richard settled into a new home and Carol continued doing some of her favorite things. As she settled in her new home, Carol’s passion for gardening and flowers came through as everything bloomed all around her new yard and beautiful gardens. Carol had a true passion for knitting. It was not often that she did not have a set of needles working in her fingers, and one of Carol’s most inspired places was while enjoying the quietness on her beautiful front porch. Carol eagerly shared the sweaters and shawls she knitted with many of her family members and friends, adults and children alike. She also found joy in sharing these beautiful creations with those who truly needed them. She would knit and donate gloves, mittens, hats and scarves to the less fortunate. Carol knitted prayer shawls for the needy, which she donated to the local community Lutheran church. She loved sharing special moments with her friends, Jean and Trish as they strolled through the neighborhood. Carol was a good friend to all and always did many things to help others. Carol was a loving wife and mother, who so enjoyed her children's visits, especially her daughter-in-law’s wonderful cooking. Carol was soon to be a grandmother, as she was anxiously awaiting the arrival of their first grandchild, a little girl due in April. Carol and her family would like to express their deep appreciation to her dear friends, Jean and Ray Christian, and Trish and Ray Lackwitz, for their loving and compassionate care shown to Carol. They also would like to thank Dr. Steven Lamon and his staff of nurses at Monadnock Community Hospital Oncology Department for their kindness and exceptional care she received while in their care. A special thank you from her family to Carol's Hospice nurse, Susan Souza, whose professional support and care was truly appreciated by Carol. We will always be forever grateful to everyone.
