Carol Louise Daigneau

February 26, 1944 — May 24, 2021

HOLDEN – Carol Louise (Frost) Daigneau, 77, died peacefully at home under the care of her loving family on the early morning of Monday, May 24, 2021. Carol was born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada and became a naturalized citizen when she was ten. Carol grew up in Kennebunkport, Maine, Worcester and Holden. She was the daughter of Verner A. and Louise (Ferber-Otis) Frost.

Carol spent much of her childhood in the Ararat Street neighborhood of Worcester as well as Kennebunk, Maine and has always had a love for Gooches Beach, Goose Rocks Beach, the Marginal Way, Perkins Cove and lighthouses. She loved playing the French Horn in the Marching Band at Kennebunk High School for three years. She moved to Holden with her family and spent her Senior year of High School at Wachusett. While at Wachusett she met and fell in love with Bruce Daigneau of Sterling. They later married and shared 58 years together.

Carol devoted herself to raising her children and taking care of her home and worked part time for several years whiles her children were young, before working full time. She had worked in the Cafeteria at Naquag Elementary School and as a Crossing Guard in Rutland. She also worked at Norton Company and Stimpson Office Supply before starting at Fallon Health Plan where she stayed for over ten years. Carol had been a member of First Baptist Church in Worcester and had been active with the Youth Group there. She and Bruce were marries at Davis Chapel in First Baptist Church of Worcester on October 11, 1962. She and her beloved Bruce enjoyed Square Dancing and Round Dancing, camping and visiting the beaches of Southern Maine. Carol was also a gifted cross stitcher, knitter, crocheter, seamstress, loved doing word searches, rug hooking, puzzles, bird watching and was an avid reader. Above all she cherished spending time with her family.

Carol will be lovingly missed and remembered by her husband, Bruce A. Daigneau; her daughters, Marcia Cummings and her husband, Bradley of Holden and Donna Landry of Derry, NH; her grandchildren, Ashley Ottman and her husband, Stephen of North Brookfield, Gavin Cummings of New Jersey, Emma Cummings of Holden, Joshua Landry of Salem, NH and Kai Landry of Derry, NH and one great granddaughter, Genevieve Cummings. She was predeceased by her sister, Janet Currie in 2008.

Funeral services for Carol will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the PanMass Challenge, rider/volunteer MC0446 Marcia Cummings.
