Carol A. (Carney) Coolidge

August 22, 1942 — July 20, 2024

JEFFERSON – Carol A. (Carney) Coolidge passed away peacefully at home in Jefferson on Saturday, July 20th, 2024 at the age of 81. She was born in Worcester to the late Edmund and Marjorie H. (Hart) Carney.

Carol graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and went on to earn her associate’s degree from the former David Hale Fanning School of Nursing in Worcester. She went on to work for over 45 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital in Worcester, the Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center and then finally at Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in West Boylston.

She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Alan C. Coolidge at just 18 years old. They enjoyed a wonderful life together, raising two children. She loved her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren over the years.

She lived for traveling. She and her husband traveled all over the world and enjoyed spending time at their summer place in York Beach, ME. She documented all her travels throughout her extensive photo collection. Carol enjoyed the company of her dogs over the years.

Carol leaves behind her son, Mark Coolidge and his wife, Sandra of Jefferson; a daughter, Christine Jones of Jefferson; three grandchildren, Devon Coolidge, Madison Coolidge, and Nicole Jones. She is predeceased by her husband, Alan C. Coolidge, who passed away in 2011.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Graveside Service honoring her life at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 24th, at Grove Cemetery, Main St., Holden. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
