Cara L. Goewey

HOLDEN – Cara L. Goewey, 46, of Worcester, died on Friday, September 23, 2011 in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
Cara was born in Holden on November 14, 1964, daughter of Gloria L. (Nelson) Goewey and the late John H. Goewey, and lived in Holden until moving to Worcester a year ago. She attended the Mercy Centre in Worcester and participated in the Special Olympics.
Cara is also survived by her brothers, Mark Goewey and his wife Clare of Austin, Texas, COL. Josh Goewey (U.S. Army) and his wife Lori of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Paul Goewey and his wife Anne of Hubbardston and Todd G. Goewey of Turner, Maine; and nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2011, at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 70 Highland Street, Holden. Burial will follow at the St. Francis Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cara’s memory may be made to the Mercy Centre, 25 West Chester Street, Worcester, MA 01605. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
