HOLDEN – Camille (Tarzia) Holloway, 94, passed away peacefully into the arms of The Lord on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at St. Francis Home in Worcester. She was born in Brandon, Vermont, the daughter of Dominic and Catherine (Stramandinoli) Tarzia. The family relocated to New Jersey where she lived for the greater part of her life before moving to Holden several years ago.
Camille leaves a sister, Teresa M. (Tarzia) Moran of Holden; five nieces; Kathleen Moran Nicoll with whom she lived, Diane and Deborah McBride, Rosemarie Tarzia Gerhardt and Susan Smith; five nephews, Richard and John McBride, Nick, Albert and Ralph Tarzia, and several grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Abner, her son, Paul, three brothers, Dominic, Bruno and Ralph Tarzia and three sisters, Mary McBride, Estelle Mengo and Rachel Tarzia (at age 12).
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St. Francis Home, Rockwell Unit for their loving care of Camille, Miles Funeral Home staff for their many kindnesses and Reverend Dr. Richard Simpson, Rector of St. Francis Church, for planning a beautiful liturgy and burial.
A memorial service for Mrs. Holloway will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, in St. Francis Episcopal Church, 70 Highland Street, Holden, MA 01520. Burial will follow in the St. Francis Church Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church, Memorial Fund, or the St. Francis Home, Activities Fund, 101 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01604. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
