STERLING – C. Collins Cadle, a 32-year resident of Sterling, the loving husband of 27 years of Alice B. Cadle, died after an illness on Sunday, December 16, 2007.
He also leaves his sons, Robert Cadle and his wife Mary of Groton and Terry Cadle and his wife Nancy of Marysville, CA; his daughter, Lynn Garland and her husband Ron of Chambersburg, PA; a step-daughter, Charlene Gould and her husband William of Leominster; a sister, Jinni Cadle of Rochester, NY; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was born in Springfield, Ohio, son of John A. and Helen E. (Collins) Cadle. He was a graduate of Manlius Military School and Syracuse University.
Mr. Cadle was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict having served in the Strategic Air Command (SAC) flying several missions over Korea in a B29. He worked for IBM and Digital.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 24th, at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon. You may honor Collins by making a donation in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210. Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling, is directing arrangements.
