HOLDEN – Byron J. Kingsley, 73, of 312 Holden Street, died Wednesday, August 11, 2004, in Knollwood Nursing Center, Worcester, after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 17 years, Diane M. (Lariviere) Kingsley; a brother, Ralph Kingsley and his wife Margaret of Chicago, Ilinois; eight nephews and nieces; and cousins in Newfoundland, Canada. He was born in Rumford, Maine, the son of Joseph and Anne (Moore) Kingsley, and lived most of his life in Worcester and 17 years in Holden.

Mr. Kingsley was a mechanical draftsman at George Meyer Manufacturing Company in West Boylston. He was a member of All Saint’s Episcopal Church and attended St. George’s Church with his wife both in Worcester. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran, and enjoyed gardening and ballroom dancing.

The funeral for Mr. Kingsley will be held Tuesday, August 17 from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, Grove Street, Worcester. Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, August 16, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis Tennessee 38105; or the Worcester Foothills Theatre, 100 Front Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
