Brian L. Comstock

RUTLAND – Brian L. Comstock, 76, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital after an illness. He was born in Springfield, VT, the son of Harold and Marion (Clark) Comstock and had lived in Springfield, VT before moving to Rutland in 1970. He leaves his loving wife of 54 years, Carroll S. (Stearns) Comstock; two daughters, Sheila M. Comstock of Olean, NY and Susan M. Comstock of East Longmeadow; three brothers, Dale Comstock of West Hartford, CT, Russell Comstock and Stephen Comstock, both of Springfield, VT; two grandchildren, Allison and Emily Ingraham; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Brian graduated from Springfield High School in 1957. After serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1961 his career focused on computer programming. He worked as a self-employed woodworker for many years and then enjoyed ten years at Worcester Airport Limousine before retiring five years ago. Brian was an avid golfer, enjoyed classical music, riding roller coasters and loved to spend time with his family.
