RUTLAND/HOLDEN - Brian Carlin, 44, passed away in his sleep, Sunday morning June 8, 2014. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Francis P. Carlin and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1988.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara A. (Becker) Carlin of West Boylston; his fiancée, Elizabeth Keenan of Rutland; a brother, Glenn Carlin; a sister, Colleen Lafleche; two nieces, Caitlyn and Lindsey Lafleche, all of Worcester; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Brian was an avid collector of classic and unique automobiles throughout his adult life. He and his collection were well recognized by anyone who attended the variety of local car shows. The last two years Brian worked as a dental technician at Ashland Dental Lab after spending more than twenty years working for his father at Quality Dental Laboratory in Worcester. Brian was an extremely loyal and generous person who was known for his distinct sense of humor and always had a wry smile on his face. He will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 16, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Brian will be held on Tuesday, June 17, with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson.
