HUBBARDSTON - Brian K. Boucher, 51, passed away at Mass General Hospital on Sunday, February 14, 2016 after an illness. He was born in Groton, the son of the late John M. Boucher and had lived in Townsend for many years before moving to Hubbardston fourteen years ago.
He leaves his wife of 12 years, Carol L. Curtis; his mother, Lucille M. (Wright) Boucher of Townsend; a brother, John M. Boucher of Gardner; three sisters, Penny Dearborn of Hawaii, Gail Felton of Florida and Tammy Rafuse of New Hampshire; a cousin and close friend, Gary Wendell of Londonderry, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Lyle Boucher.
Brian graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School in 1982. He co-owned Peaceful Acres Campground in Hubbardston with his wife Carol. He was a member of the Hubbardston Lion’s Club and the National Rifle Association. Brian worked hard on the campground and the family farm and could be found tinkering on a project or inventing a new tool or device to make the job easier. He enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, target shooting, tractor pulls, was a talented cook, but he had a greater passion working with animals, tending to the farm and training his dogs.
A funeral service for Brian will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A committal service will be held in the spring at Rural Cemetery in Rutland.
