HOLDEN – Brewster Reed Randolph, 90, of 171 Twinbrooke Drive, a 35-year resident of Holden, died Monday, December 12, 2005, in the University Commons Nursing Home, Worcester.
His wife of 55 years, Eloise D. (Dorrance) Randolph, died in 1994. He leaves two sons, James D. Randolph of Santa Rosa, California and Brewster R. Randolph, Jr. of Palm Beach, Florida; two sisters, Phoebe Davidson of Bridgeport, Connecticut and Virginia Broman of upstate New York; a brother-in-law, Thomas Mountain of Worcester; two grandchildren, James B. Randolph of Santa Rosa, California and Sarah N. Randolph of San Francisco, California; many nephews and nieces. A brother, Edgar Randolph, and a sister, Marie Mountain, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Charles Brewster and Helen Winsor (Reed) Randolph. He attended Bancroft, North High School, graduated from Worcester Academy and attended W.P.I.
Mr. Randolph worked 20 years for Reed & Prince Mfg. in Worcester as Plant Engineer and Vice President. Most recently he was owner and operator of Randolph Auto Body in Worcester for 20 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church, secretary/treasurer of the New England Sprint Car Association and a member of the New England Audubon Society.
A memorial service for Mr. Randolph will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 16, in St. Francis Episcopal Church, 70 Highland Street (Rte. 31), Holden. Burial will be private in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UMass Memorial Hospice, P.O. Box 2795, Worcester, MA 01613-9938. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
