RUTLAND – Robert "Bob" O. Heiniluoma, 59, of 97 Maple Avenue, died July 28, 2007, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 33 years, Brenda A. (Thomasian) Heiniluoma; his son, Daniel E. Heiniluoma and his wife Sabrina of Millbury; two sisters, Nancy M. Kenney and her husband Robert of Rutland and Lillian E. Goodman and her husband Philip of Newport, Maine; a grandson, Paxton Heiniluoma of Millbury; many nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, the son of Onni I. and Edith (Hammersten) Heiniluoma, and lived most of his life in Rutland.
Bob graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1967 and worked over 30 years for Ken-Weld Company in Worcester. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and served on the naval destroyer, U.S.S. Leary. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 30th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Bob will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31st, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Rutland Fire Brigade Rescue Fund, 240 Main Street, Rutland, MA 01543; or the Pernet Family Health Service, 237 Millbury Street, Worcester, MA 01610-2177.
