OAKHAM – Robert "Bob" E. Marsh, 71, of New Braintree Road, died on Sunday, July 4, 2010 in Clinton Hospital.
He leaves his wife, Elizabeth A. (Greenwich) Marsh; two daughters, Barbara J. Senecal and her husband Christopher of Rutland and Cristie M. Tucker and her husband Denis of North Brookfield; two step-daughters, Kelly E. Blondin and her husband Darren of Madison, Wisconsin and Amy M. Girardi of Roslindale; a sister, Dorothy E. Prue of Shrewsbury; nine grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, the son of Earl A. and Dorothy (Riedl) Marsh, and lived in Holden most of his life until moving to Oakham in 2001.
Bob graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in Holden and Worcester Junior College. He worked as an engineer for over 30 years at New England Telephone Co. and later Verizon retiring in1994. After his retirement, Bob was the warehouse manager for Whipple Construction Co. in Worcester where he worked for 10 years. He was a car enthusiast and particularly enjoyed antique cars and attending car shows.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 9th at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A memorial service for Bob will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 10th, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E. Easter Lane, Centennial, CO 80112.
