STERLING – Beverly Ann (Pfieffer) Poulin, 83, died peacefully on Saturday, September, 30 2017 at the Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Shrewsbury. She was born in Webster, the daughter of Ralph and Ethel (Austin) Pfieffer.
Beverly graduated from Clinton High School and the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Worcester. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Memorial Hospital for several years before dedicating herself full time to the family business, Poulin Construction Co., with her husband, Maurice. Beverly and Maurice lived in Sterling for many years and for the past 35 years also had a home and construction interest on the island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. They also enjoyed many summers at their farm house in Cooper, Maine. Beverly had been a long time member of the First Church in Sterling and recent years at Hope Chapel in Sterling. She was known for her love of quilting and needlework and enjoyed spending time in quilting clubs. Above all she loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 64 years, Maurice G. Poulin; her son, David M. Poulin and his wife, Anna of Stuart, Florida; her daughter, Laurie Crandall and her husband, Craig of West Boylston; her sister, Elaine Mudgett of Lancaster; her grandchildren, Amy Thomas, Jason, Jonathan, Taylor and Justin Poulin, Meagen Crandall and her wife, Wednesday Roftade of St. John, USVI; seven great-grandchildren and 4 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Daniel R. Poulin.
A private committal service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling.
