WORCESTER – Beverly A. (Desorda) Loubier, 77, of Holden St., passed peacefully at home under the loving care of her family on Sunday, December 8, 2013, after an illness. Born in Essex Junction, Vermont, Beverly was the daughter of Robert and Eldora G. (Dudley) Desorda, and lived in Worcester since 1937.

Beverly graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and immediately went to work at State Mutual Life Assurance Co. in Worcester as a secretary. While at State Mutual, she met William A. Loubier, the love of her life, whom she married in 1955. After raising their four children, Beverly re-entered the work force as a secretary for an insurance agent, then worked at Smith Barney Inc. in Worcester for over 10 years, retiring in 1999.

She was a member of St. George Church in Worcester and was faithfully committed to the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel. Beverly was a longtime volunteer at the Belmont Street campus of UMass Memorial Healthcare. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially when called upon to drive them in what they affectionately coined, “Gram’s Taxi”. Her family was first and foremost. Over the years she looked forward to spending family vacations at Crescent Lake, Webster Lake and Wells, Maine. She will be remembered for her generosity, kind and gentle nature, and unconditional love she shared with her family.

Her husband of 46 years, William A. Loubier died in 2001. She is survived and will be lovingly missed by her three daughters, Pamela J. Fontaine and her husband, Jason of Charlton, Lauren J. Forsman of Worcester and Roberta J. Holmes and her husband, John of Holden; her son, William A. Loubier, Jr. of Worcester; two sisters, Elizabeth D. Walker and Barbara Messier and her husband, Roger both of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Kimberley Anderson, Andrew and Brian Nault, April and Jeffrey Forsman, Laura Loubier and William A. Loubier, III; one great-granddaughter, Jean Foraker; nephews and nieces.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 13, at St. George Church, 40 Brattle St., Worcester. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Worcester.
