HOLDEN - Bettie A. (Langdon) Bartlett, 72, died peacefully on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, with her beloved husband and family by her side. She was born in Roxbury, a daughter of the late Thomas and Frances E. (Bright) Langdon. Bettie graduated from James P. Timulty School in Roxbury. More than 57 years ago, Bettie met a young man who swept her off her feet, Donald “Cookie” Bartlett and they soon married. They have lived in the Worcester and Holden areas for many years. Bettie worked for several manufacturing companies including the former Digital Equipment Corporation in Shrewsbury where she was a final inspector. She was a member of St. Christopher Parish in Worcester and she had a strong devotion to the Virgin Mother, Mary. In addition to her beloved husband, Donald, Betty is survived by several nieces and nephews as well as in-laws. She was predeceased by her brother, James “Buddy” Langdon and her sister, Helen Olsen. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Bettie’s family on Monday, October 17, from 4-6 p.m. at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 18 from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Christopher Church, 950 West Boylston Street, Worcester.
