November 1, 1957 — May 26, 2014

Beth Christine Rayla, 56, of Holden, passed away with dignity and grace on Monday, May 26, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Worcester, she was the youngest child of Warren and Dorothy (Johnson) Rayla.

Beth attended Wachusett Regional High School in Holden and took classes at Quinsigamond Community College. While raising her two children, she graduated from Lesley University in Boston with a degree in business management. She was an insurance claims representative at Unum Group and a past member of Epworth Methodist Church in Worcester and Amicable Congregational Church in Tiverton, RI. She is survived by her two children, Abigail L. and Joshua D. Crocker; three brothers, Mark, Phillip and Robert Rayla; and her nieces and nephews.

Beth enjoyed sailing off the shores of Rhode Island, attending live music performances, hiking in the New England wilderness, vacationing in tropical climates and watching her son’s soccer games. She was both a dedicated mother and loyal friend who will be fondly remembered for her lively sense of humor, reflective outlook and beautiful smile.
