Bertha A. “Betty” (Hall) Stowell, 96, beloved wife of the late Edwin A. “Jimmy” Stowell, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Born and raised in Holden, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Frances (Mason) Hall.
She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her daughter, Dawn Clark of Worcester: her two sons, Bradford Stowell and J. Michael Stowell; her six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Jimmy, she is predeceased by her four sons, David, Brahe, Brian and John; her daughter, Dianne Stowell; her brother, Henry Hall, Jr.; her sister, Mary Horstman; and her two grandchildren, Jessica Jones and Aaron Stowell.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 28 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 29 at St. Mary’s Church,114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Holden.
