Roberta 'Bert' A. (Perkins) Ballou

DUDLEY – Roberta "Bert" A. Ballou, 48, of Oxford Avenue, died surrounded by her family and friends on Sunday, July 19, 2009 in UMass Memorial, Worcester, after a brief illness.

She leaves a son, Jason L. Desaulniers of Dudley; her twin sister, Diane M. Perkins of Paxton; a step-sister, Patc Wiersma of Oakham; her companion, Rodney Fontaine of Dudley; two nephews, Levi Perkins and Tommy Lee; and a niece, Tonya Lee. Her brother, Kenneth Perkins, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Robert A. and Rose (Melfi) Perkins. Bert was a home health aide in the Worcester area. She was an avid animal lover and lived life to the fullest. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
