Bernice E. (Publicover) Peterson

WORCESTER – Bernice E. (Publicover) Peterson, 83, of Worcester died Monday, November 12, 2007 in Holy Trinity Nursing Home after a long struggle with breast cancer.
Mrs. Peterson is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ralph L. Peterson; her children, James R. Peterson of Vernon, Connecticut and Gerald “Jerry” R. Peterson of Shrewsbury. She was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy E. Mekjian who also succumbed to breast cancer in 2001, and her brother, William E. Publicover. Bernice was blessed with six grandchildren, her life’s joy. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of Robert E. and Eva (MacGillivray) Publicover, and lived in Worcester her entire life. She was a faithful church member of Greendale Peoples Church.
A celebration of Bernie’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 17th, in the Greendale Peoples Church, 25 Francis Street, Worcester. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Fwy, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is directing arrangements.
