PAXTON/WORCESTER – Behrooz Ayaz, 51, of Richards Avenue, Paxton, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
He leaves his loving wife of 27 years, Sheila (Auger) Ayaz; three children at home, Ryan M., Sarah S. and Camron P. Ayaz; two brothers, Khosrow and Parviz Ayaz, both of Iran; a sister, Ziba Ayaz of Iran; and his mother-in-law, Virginia Bonney of West Boylston; nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Behrooz was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, the son of Ramezan A. and Gohar (Zahedi) Ayaz, and moved to the United States in 1977 and lived in Worcester for many years before recently moving to Paxton. He was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a software engineer with The MathWorks, Inc. in Natick for the last 12 years, and taught computer courses at Worcester State College. Behrooz loved his family, working around the house and playing soccer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 11th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 12th, in the funeral home with burial following in Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ayaz Family Educational Trust Fund, c/o Millbury Federal Credit Union, 68 Stafford Street, Worcester, MA 01603.
