WEST BOYLSTON - Becky L. Mensing 67, of West Boylston passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 with her family by her side.
For 39 years, Becky was happily married to Richard Mensing who passed away in early 2013. She is survived by her three loving children, daughter, Karen Mensing and her husband, Jim Sharpe of Phoenix, daughter, Kristen Mensing of Weston, and son, Eric Mensing and his wife, Erin of West Boylston; and three grandchildren, Lyric, Liberty and Janelle.
Becky was the daughter of the late James and Pauline (Buzzell) Deas. She graduated from Palmetto High School, Miami, FL in 1967. She then continued her education as she attended the University of South Florida where she earned her Bachelor's degree in physical education in 1972. In addition to excelling academically, Becky was an accomplished athlete and played on the volleyball team at the University of South Florida.
Becky was passionately devoted to teaching young children. She worked in the early childcare field for over 20 years, most recently at the YMCA in Worcester until she retired due to illness. Her interests included camping, going to beaches in Maine and Florida, and spending time at home with her family.
A private graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
