May 9, 1916 — May 26, 2005

HOLDEN – Beatrice L. (Baker) Supernor, 89, of 1 Fairchild Drive, died peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Thursday, May 26, 2005, in her home.

She leaves her husband of 71 years, Harold H. Supernor, Sr.; a daughter, Judith Berlane and her husband Stanley with whom she lived; two sons, Kenneth H. Supernor and his wife Cheryl (Antonio) Supernor of Amelia Island, FL, and Harold H. Supernor II and his wife, Peggy (Parks) Supernor of Worcester; six grandchildren, Cynthia Capuano Bradley and her husband Richard Bradley, Paul D. Capuano, David, Robert and Tyler Supernor, and Kenneth Supernor II; and a great-grandson, Andrew J. Bradley. She was predeceased by three sisters, Vernona O’Neill, Eyvonne Didonato and Doris Blomstrom, and a brother, Earl V. Bush. She also leaves many extended family and friends especially Cheryl Bessette Brote of Franklin, Joanne Lawton Breuggemann of Shrewsbury, Patricia Beliveau Keenan her husband and children; and her caregivers, Betty and Mamie.

Beatrice was born in Malone, New York, the daughter of Vincent and Charlotte (Bellerose) Baker, and lived in Worcester, many years in Boylston, 26 years in Silver Spring, Florida, and several years in Holden.

Beatrice and her husband Harold were devoted to their family and often offered their home and hospitality to family members and friends who needed a temporary place to stay during transitions. Beatrice loved music. As a young girl she was a student of the violin and later loved dancing, singing and parties. She enjoyed a twenty-year career as a floral designer and creator for Bill Olick Florist in Worcester, and continued her creative pursuits in the form of knitting, sewing and cooking. She was known for her smorgasbords, buffets and “snickey-snacks.” Interests also included fashion coordination, fishing, gardening, crossword puzzles and reading. Beatrice was an observer and, yet, also known for her quick “one-liners” that brought laughter to all.

A graveside service for Mrs. Supernor will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 3, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Scarhill Road, Boylston. There are no calling hours. Those wishing to make donations in Bea’s memory may send red roses to someone they love, or who’s in need, Umass Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester 01605; or Abby’s House, Inc., 52 High Street, Worcester, 01609.
