PAXTON - Beatrice C. (Murphy) Kauppila, 82, of 120 Holden Road, died Wednesday, January 5, 2005, in Holden Nursing Home.
She leaves her husband of 53 years, Raymond V. Kauppila; three sons, Glenn S. Kauppila of Rutland, Neil E. Kauppila of Holden, Alan M. Kauppila of Northbridge; two daughters, Beverly A. Donahue of Acton, Marie L. Kauppila of Charlton; a brother, Timothy C. Murphy, Jr. of Topsfield; a sister, Louise M. Terwilliger of Falls Church, Virginia; 11 grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Boston, the daughter of Timothy C. and Albina C. (Celle) Murphy, and moved to Paxton in 1951.
Mrs. Kauppila graduated from the Forsythe Dental School in Boston and worked as a dental hygienist for various dentists in the local area. She was a member of St. Columba’s Church in Paxton and The Finnish American Club.
The funeral service for Mrs. Kauppila will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 10, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery, 251 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, South East Asia Disaster Relief Fund, 884 Millbury Street, Worcester, MA 01607.
