WORCESTER – Beatrice (Miller) Canan, age 95, died on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Royal Meadow View Nursing Home in North Reading. Her husband, Philip Canan died in 1992.She leaves two sons, David Canan and his wife, Michelle of North Reading and Howard Canan of North Oxford and Sharra Canan of Holden; a sister, Nancy Gordon of Boston; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her sisters, Irene Kadis, Goldie Gladstone, Miriam Robinson, Edith Sadowsky and Hilda Witkes.She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Levine) Miller and was raised in Brookfield. She had lived in Worcester for many years, moving to North Reading thirteen years ago.She had been a bookkeeper for the Jewish Community Center in Worcester for many years, retiring many years ago.She was a long time member of Congregation Beth Israel of Worcester.GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT THE CONVENIENCE OF THE FAMILY IN B’NAI BRITH CEMETERY, ST. JOHN’S ROAD, WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN.Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Beth Israel, 15 Jamesbury Drive, Worcester, MA 01609 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
