Holden/ Boca Raton, FL- Barbara L. (Nuzzolilo) Scardamaglia, 85, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at JFK Medical Center, Atlantis, FL. She was born in Providence, RI to Elvira Nuzzolilo.
Barbara pursued a nursing degree and worked diligently and lovingly as an LPN for many years. She later graduated with a hairstyling license and worked at that profession in Holden and Worcester.
Faith was central to Barbara's life. She was a devoted member of Saint George church in Worcester. While living in Florida, Barbara was a member of Mae Volen Senior Center and Palm Beach Pace where she enjoyed many educational excursions and fun social activities. Her love for nature flourished in Florida where she discovered beautiful gardens, birds and butterflies. One of her favorite hobbies was reading and she greatly enjoyed sharing her knowledge and ideas. She especially loved social gatherings with friends and family.
Barbara is survived by two daughters; Ritza Elizabeth, and Lana LeBlanc (George); a son Mark Scardamaglia; her sister, Carolyn Onisko of Boca Raton; sister-in-law, Jolene Scuderi of Pennsylvania; two brothers John Scuderi (Catherine), and Victor Nuzzolilo; one granddaughter Isabella LeBlanc, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 10 to 11 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at St. George Church, 40 Brattle St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery, Main St., Holden.
