Barbara M. (Beams) Wallace

WEST BOYLSTON – Barbara M. (Beams) Wallace, 75, of 177 Goodale St. died Saturday, March 26, 2005 in her home after an illness.
She leaves two sons, William E. Wallace, III and his wife Hae Yong Lee of Killeen, TX and Robert J. Wallace, Sr. and his wife Lila M. of Nicholson, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Robert J. Wallace, Jr. and Nichole Y. Wallace of Nicholson, Pennsylvania; two step grandchildren, William J. and Jessica M. Barton of Killeen, Texas; a brother, Robert E. Beams and his wife Eleanor of Rumford, ME and Florida; and numerous nephews and nieces. In 1991, Barbara’s son, Donald B. Wallace, was reported missing and has recently been declared deceased. A brother, Harold G. Beams predeceased her. She was born in Worcester the daughter of Harold W. and Gertrude A. (Taylor) Beams and lived 39 years in West Boylston.
Barbara graduated from South High School and Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing. She attended Clark University and Assumption College both in Worcester, and Anna Maria College in Paxton. She was a registered nurse and worked at various local hospitals including Hahnemann Hospital in Worcester. Barbara also provided private nursing care in the Worcester area. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of West Boylston.
The memorial service for Barbara will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, in the Miles Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. Burial will be private in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, 32 Church Street, West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, Boston, MA 02210; or the West Boylston Fire Department Ambulance Fund, 39 Worcester Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.
