HUBBARDSTON – Barbara M. (Bennett) Collins, 62, passed away suddenly at Athol Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 12, 2013.
She leaves her son, Lee B. Collins and his wife Alicia of Wales; two grandsons, Tucker Lee Collins and Wyatt Lee Collins; her companion, Raymond LaJoie of Hubbardston; and a sister, Beatrice (Bennett) Johnson.
She was born in Providence, RI, the daughter of Kingsley and Louise M. (Nickerson) Bennett and had lived in Hubbardston since 1991. She enjoyed collecting cars, attending tractor and car shows and going antiquing with friends. She will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
