WORCESTER – Valerie A. (White) Giorgio, 65, of 62 Brigham Road, died peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, May 10, 2007, after a five year courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She leaves her husband of 45 years, Jeremiah “Jerry” Giorgio, Jr.; her son, Michael J. Giorgio and his wife Nancy of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Marci S. Giorgio of Atlanta, Georgia and Monique J. Engel and her husband Joshua of Worcester; her mother, Josephine M. (Grensavitch) White of Worcester; two sisters, Cynthia Sestito of Grafton and Beverly Leveillee of Paxton; three grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Edgar J. White, and was a life-long resident of Worcester.
Mrs. Giorgio was a 1960 graduate of Commerce High School and worked as a Territorial Manager for Acosta Sales & Marketing Co. in Marlborough. She loved life and was an inspiration to everyone she met.
The funeral for Mrs. Giorgio will be held on Wednesday, May 16th, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Christ The King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15th, in the funeral home.
