WORCESTER – Regina A. (Vachon) Morin LaFrance, 94, formerly of 545 Salisbury Street, died peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2008, in Holden Nursing Home.
Her husband, Eugene A. LaFrance, died in 1996. She leaves a son, Roland W. Morin of New Braintree; a daughter, Cecile I. Rocheleau of Holden; a sister, Laura DuCharme of Wisconsin; five grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Her first husband, Wilfred J. Morin, died in 1972. Three sisters, Lillian Nichols, Jeanette LeClair and Evelyn Gelineau, predeceased her. She was born in Derry, New Hampshire, daughter of Ludger and Ida (Larochelle) Vachon, and lived over 60 years in Worcester.
Mrs. Morin LaFrance worked at Saint Vincent Hospital for many years and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, both in Worcester. Her family was the love of her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 22, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 23, from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester. Memorial donations may be made to the UMass Memorial Hospice, 620 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605; or the Activities Fund at Holden Nursing Home, 32 Mayo Drive, Holden, MA 01520.
