WORCESTER – Matthew A. Turgeon, 21, of Dara Lane, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008 in UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Route 290.
He leaves his parents with whom he lived, James J. and Cheryl A. (L'Heureux) Turgeon; a brother, Michael J. Turgeon of Worcester; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Marie A. (Langevin) Turgeon of Worcester; his maternal grandfather, Richard E. L'Heureux of Worcester; his fiancée, Kristin Renault of Medway; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. His maternal grandmother, June E. (Boudreau) L'Heureux, predeceased him.
Matthew was born on February 12, 1987 in Worcester and was a 2005 graduate of Doherty Memorial High School. He attended Fitchburg State College where he was a member of the Sigma Pi Fraternity. Recently, he worked part time as a security officer for Bose Corporation in Westborough while attending Quinsigmond Community College, and was scheduled to enter boot camp for the U.S. Marine Corps on January 26th. He will be remembered for his warm smile, beautiful eyes, easy going spirit and he loved everyone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 29th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Matthew will be held on Tuesday, December 30th, from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Christ The King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton.
