WORCESTER, MA- Lillian A. (Thomas) Voytek of Worcester, passed away peacefully in Saint Vincent's Hospital on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 after an illness.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Stephen C. Voytek, in 2005. She leaves a daughter, Carol A. Bobkowski and her husband, Paul Sr., of Holden, MA and a son, Leigh C. Voytek and his wife Susan of Oxford, CT. She also leaves three brothers, Leigh F. Thomas and his wife, Rebecca of Middlefield, OH, William C. Thomas and his wife, Grace of Stuart, FL, and Robert E. Thomas and his wife, Annette of Shelton, CT; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Lillian was a member of Olivet Congregational Church in Bridgeport, CT. She enjoyed traveling and New England camping with her late husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping and square dancing as well. Lillian was born in Bridgeport and lived in Stratford, CT until moving to Worcester, MA after the death of her husband, Stephen. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Olivet Congregational Church, corner of North Ave., and Main St., Bridgeport at 11:00 am on Wednesday, Dec. 5th. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Olivet Congregational Church. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, 620 Lindley St., Bridgeport, CT. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is directing arrangements.
