S Janet A. (Sutor) Dubovick

HOLDEN – Janet A. (Sutor) Dubovick, 68, of Holden died peacefully with her children, sisters and loved ones by her side on April 26, 2007.

Janet is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald Dubovick; a son, Kenneth Dubovick and his wife Laurie of Rutland; five daughters, Anne Volk and her husband Brian of Jefferson, Dianne O’Hayre and her husband Jack of NJ, Denise Dubovick of NJ, Stacey Milgate and her husband Jeffrey of Templeton and Tracey Osgood and her husband Dan of Centerville. Her greatest joy was her twelve grandchildren, Brian, Dan and Nicole Volk, Jacqueline O’Hayre, Alexis, James and Jared Dubovick, Ryan, Lauren and Derek Milgate and Caitlin and Emily Osgood. They will all miss their Nana very much. She also leaves three sisters, Marie Blackmar and her husband Bob, Irene Segoshi and her husband Yoshi, all of Holden, and Ethel Seidler and her husband Ed of N. Brookfield; many nieces and nephews; and her neighbors with whom she had been very close friends with for many years.

Janet was born on January 20, 1939 in Yonkers, New York, the daughter of the late Stephen and Ethel (Parmelee) Sutor. She graduated from Commerce High School, Yonkers, in 1957 with a degree in Cosmetology. She moved to Holden in 1968 where she raised her family. After her children were grown she worked in several cafeterias for the Holden school system, before retiring in 2002. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, cooking, the ocean and lighthouses. She also loved her dog, Chi-Chi. Janet was much loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours from 12 noon to 2 p.m. following by a service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 5th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.
