WORCESTER - Aspasia “Pat” Langas, 77, of Worcester, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Worcester Health Center. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Vasilios and Efterpi (Bayiannis) Langas and lived in Worcester for many years. Pat graduated from the former Classical High School, and studied at Simmons College and Boston University. Pat was an insurance agent for Lincoln National Insurance Agency for many years. Previously she was assistant to the Vice President of Development and Public Affairs at Boston University, where she was effective in raising funds and serving as a type of ambassador for dignitaries, important guests, and alumni visiting the university. This was a position she held with great pride. Additionally Pat worked at Harvard Medical School and UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester. Always full of energy and known for her inquisitive mind and quick wit, Pat enjoyed reading, traveling, and the company of friends; most especially Lisa King and her son, Anthony Yeskevicz whom she considered her grandson, June Jurey, and Tina Thamel. Pat was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, and she enjoyed participating in Bible Studies. She leaves a brother, John B. Langas and his wife, Betsy of North Grafton as well as several cousins. Funeral services for Pat will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. An hour of visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Cathedral prior to the funeral service.
