WORCESTER – Arthur E. Pearlmutter, age 81, died on Monday, October 23, 2017 in UMass Memorial Healthcare.He leaves his wife of 54 years, Joan (Weingarten) Pearlmutter; a son, Chaim Pearlmutter of Cleveland Heights, OH; a daughter, Renee, wife of Benjamin Albert of West Roxbury; six grandchildren, Eli and Sarah Albert, and Basya, Aaron, Channah and Kayla Pearlmutter.He was born in New York City, the son of Henry and Lillian (Rosner) Pearlmutter and had lived in Auburn for 42 years before moving to Worcester 3 years ago. He was a grandson of Max Rosner, owner of Dexter Park and the Brooklyn Bushwicks, a semi-pro baseball team.He graduated from Queens College of the City of New York. He was a computer programmer for Thom McAn for many years and for Raytheon for several years.He was a member of Temple Emanuel Sinai and the American Association of Variable Star Observers.A GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 2:00 PM TODAY, WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 25TH IN B’NAI BRITH CEMETERY, ST. JOHN’S ROAD IN WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN.Memorial Observance will be held through this evening at his residence.Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
