STERLING – Armand I. Roseberry, 76, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Sterling Village after an illness. He was born in Worcester, the son of Odilon N. and Simonne G. (Lambert) Roseberry and had lived in Sterling since the mid 1950’s.
His loving wife of 41 years, Susan M. (Nadeau) Roseberry, passed away in 2006. He leaves two sons, Richard K. Roseberry of Sterling and Nathan Roseberry of Clinton; two daughters, Candice L. Stewart of Winchendon and Deanna L. Roseberry of MA; his brother, Raymond Roseberry of Sterling; his three sisters, Rita McLaughlin of Tyngsboro, Laurette Ruell of Las Vegas and Suzanne Gendreau of Brookfield; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Neree Roseberry and his sisters, Mae Swenson and Emma Roseberry.
Armand was a specialist in the U.S. Army and served for two years during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged in 1966, he worked as a carpenter for area companies including Wolf Coach in Northborough. He later started and ran his own company, Armand Roseberry the Builder for over 35 years before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and snowshoeing. He was a member and on the board of directors of The Eight Point Sportsmen’s Club and was a member of the Hiram O. Taylor American Legion Post 189, both in Sterling. He also belonged to the NRA and GOAL.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Armand’s family on Friday, Dec. 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hiram O. Taylor American Legion Post 189, P.O. Box 245, Sterling, MA 01564.
