Biography
WORCESTER – Arline H. (Gilman) Avers, 85, of Natick, formerly of Shrewsbury, died on Tuesday, February 10, in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Her husband, Theodore I. Avers died in 1974. She leaves a son, Marc Avers and his wife, Linda of Burke, VA; two daughters, Robin, and her husband John McGhee of Hopkinton, and Jane Avers of Newton; four grandchildren, Teddi and her husband, Sam Molica of Franklin, MA, Alexandra McGhee of New York City, Theodore Avers of Burke, VA and Emma Avers of Burke, VA. She was predeceased by her brother Irving Gilman and by her sister Silvia Follin.
She was born in Boston, a daughter of Harry and Alice (Karp) Gilman and had lived in Shrewsbury for 32 years and later in Boca Raton, FL for 14 years before living in Natick for the past 14 years.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00AM ON FRIDAY, FEB. 13TH IN TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI, 280 MAY STREET, WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in Worcester Hebrew Cemetery in Auburn.
Memorial Observance will be held through 5:00PM Friday afternoon, Feb. 13th at the residence of Robin and John McGhee, at 5 Elizabeth Road in Hopkinton.
