HOLDEN/ROCHESTER, NY – Anthony M. Cavuto, 90, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. He was born in Rochester, NY, the son of Michael and Jennie (Cavuto) Cavuto and had lived in Rochester, NY and Wayne, NJ before moving to Holden in 2008.

He leaves his loving wife of 66 years, Marian M. (Mandell) Cavuto; a daughter, Kathleen C. Rentsch and her husband, Robert of Worcester; a sister, Bette Cavuto DeStephano of Rochester, NY; four grandchildren, Lisa Bub and her husband, Walter, Laurie Bilovesky and her husband, Steve, Jessica Rentsch and her fiancé, Matthew Brooks and Anthony Rentsch; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Eric and Hannah; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Michael F. Cavuto.

Anthony was a corporal in the Army Air Force during World War II serving with the 461st Squadron 346th Bomb Group. Following his service to his country, Anthony earned an associates degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. He was a salesperson for Cornell Dubilier Electronics for forty years before retiring in 2000.

Anthony’s family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation for the care and compassion provided by the staffs of Notre Dame Hospice in Worcester and Right At Home in Westborough.

A calling hour for Mr. Cavuto will be held on Monday, March 9, from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 10 a.m. in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (route 12), Sterling. This will be followed by a celebration of life in Rochester, New York later this spring. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
