STERLING – John A. Noone, Sr., 67, of Kendall Hill Road, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010 in UMass Memorial Healthcare-University Campus, Worcester, after an illness.
His wife of 39 years, Carol W. (Zajac) Noone, died in 2002. He leaves a son, John A. Noone, Jr. of Ft. Myers, Florida; two daughters, Donna M. Allen and her children, Nichole and Lindsey of Worcester, and Linda J. Lanza, her husband Richard and children, Cody and Madison of Sterling; and a sister, Kathy Gleason of Florida. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of John J. and Constance (Mozevech) Noone and has lived in Sterling for the last 33 years.
John served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1962 aboard the U.S.S. Casa Grande. He was a machinist at The Entwistle Company in Hudson for 20 years, retiring in 2008.
A Memorial Mass in St. Richard of Chichester Church at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name may be made to the Town of Sterling Fire Department Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 515, Sterling, MA 01564. Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling, is directing arrangements.
