WHITINSVILLE/HOLDEN – Annette (Vriesema) Carver, 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Life Care Center of Auburn. Born in Paterson, NJ, Annette was a daughter of the late Garry and Pearle (Vandermeer) Vriesema. Her beloved husband of 55 years, Everett P. Carver passed away in 2010. Annette and Everett resided on Mason Road in Jefferson in the home Everett built, for many years until moving to The Goddard House in Worcester in 2006. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Holden. After Everett’s passing, Annette later moved to the Whitinsville Retirement Home where she spent many happy years. She was a skilled crafter and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and also crossword puzzles. She was also an animal lover and particularly fond of cats. She and her husband loved Maine and would spend weekends camping in Maine. She will be lovingly missed by her sister, Beatrice (Vriesema) Nydam of Whitinsville; she was pre-deceased by her older sister, Trina (Vriesema) Ebbeling of Whitinsville. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Annette’s family for a calling hour from 11-12pm on Monday, January 8 at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 12 pm. She will be laid to rest at Grove Cemetery at a later date.
