HOLDEN, MA - Anne T. Konkol, 85, formerly of Holden passed away peacefully on Dec. 1, 2012 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, New Hampshire after a brief illness. Born in Worcester and raised in Auburn, Anne was the daughter of John and Blanche (Lakus) Pori and lived 55 years in Holden until recently moving to Derry.
Anne is a graduate of Auburn High School and the former Edward School for Airline Training. Early in her career, she was employed at State Mutual Assurance Company and Worcester Country National Bank.
Her husband, Edward F. Konkol died in 1996. She is survived by her son, Paul and his wife Donna of Derry NH; a granddaughter, Lindsey from Derry; a grandson, Kenneth Gurley and his wife Mariel of Hamilton; a great-granddaughter, Willamina; several nieces including Mary Dipietro of Leicester, Roberta Weekly of Ohio, Joanne Pletcher of Hinsdale, NH and Elaine Hogan of MA. Besides her husband she is predeceased by four sisters and a brother.
Her family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the angels at Parkland Medical Center for their care and compassion during this time.
A private graveside service honoring Anne’s life will be at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
