WORCESTER – Anna V. (Vira) Zysk, 95, formerly of Oakham died on Thursday, February 17, 2005 in the Christopher House, Worcester, after an illness.
Her husband of 65 years, Edward J. Zysk, died in 1998. She leaves two sons, Thomas Zysk of Marlborough and Edwin Zysk of Belfast, Maine; a daughter, Dorothy Whittaker of Nashua, New Hampshire; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild. Two brothers and three sisters predeceased her. She was born in Star Junction, Pennsylvania, daughter of Charles and Rosala Vira, and lived 35 years in Oakham before moving back to Worcester in 1998.
Mrs. Zysk worked for the David Clark Company in Worcester and retired from the Rutland Veteran’s Hospital.
The funeral service for Mrs. Zysk will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are the day of the funeral from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
