Biography
WORCESTER - Anna Laura (Raymond) Harroll, 88, formerly of West Orange, NJ died peacefully on May 4, 2016 at the UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester. She was born and raised in Newark, one of 14 children born to the late Alto Lee and Lessie (Cummings) Raymond.
Anna worked as an agent for the Internal Revenue Service in New Jersey for almost 40 years.
She was predeceased by her only daughter, Kimberly H. Cox, as well as 12 of her siblings. She leaves her grandson, Kyle Cox and his wife, Sequoya and their son, Sage Elijah; her two sisters, Helen A. Andrews of Paxton and Norma Boyd of Orange, NJ; her son-in-law, James Cox; as well as many nephews and nieces including, Phillip Thomas of Paxton, Helen Plante, Andre Moore; her cousin, Gloria Ward; a dear friend, Paul C. Von Nessi.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial prayer service honoring Anna’s life on Saturday, May 21, at 2 p.m. at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will be private in Massachusetts. To share a memory or leave an online condolence, please visit
